From Newtonian Economics to Full Employment

Dear Orio

Thank you for sending a concise thought-packed statement of key issues for a new economics. Since writing to you last, I have read both your report to COR on Employment and your writings on the Service Economy, which provide a detailed presentation of the themes in your message. I also see how the two documents approach the issue from complementary perspectives. Inspired by your writings, I am attaching a brief submission to the WAAS Global Employment Challenge From Newtonian Economics to Full Employment on the need for new theory of employment. I do not mean to mix our private discussion with the public exchange at this point, but I thought it would be useful to record the need in the Academy’s proceedings as it is already recorded in the proceedings of the Club of Rome.

With best regards

Garry
